Dr. Robert M Gates was Secretary of Defense during the repeal of "Don't Ask Don't Tell" in the US Military. Some believe that is the reason he was asked to serve as the national president of the Boy Scouts these last few years.

I had a great Memorial Weekend camping trip with the cub scout pack this weekend. Hard to believe it's my last already. Peter is in 4th grade and he'll be a Boy Scout next year. Over the 4 years I've led these trips, I've fine tuned them so that they keep getting better and better ( Read more... )
